EMGuidance Unsponsored Content Provider Policy

 

Purpose
This policy outlines the obligations, responsibilities, and commitments of content providers who contribute unsponsored clinical content (eg guidelines, patient education, etc) to the EMGuidance digital platform.

Content Provider's Responsibilities
1.1. Content providers bear the primary responsibility for ensuring the accuracy, relevance, and currency of the content posted on the EMGuidance platform.

1.2. All content must remain current and uphold the highest standards of scientific and professional integrity.

1.3. Content providers must have established procedures for routinely reviewing and updating their content to align with current best practices.

Communication and Updates
2.1. Content providers are obliged to promptly notify EMGuidance of any changes, updates, or revisions to their guidelines via our designated clinical mailbox: clinical@emguidance.com

2.2. Content providers currently do not have direct access to edit content on the EMGuidance platform. Instead, all changes must be communicated to the in-house clinical team, who will then update the content on the platform.

EMGuidance's Role in Quality Assurance 
3.1. EMGuidance reserves the right to review, and approve all content before it is published on our platform.

3.2. To maintain the platform's commitment to providing quality, safety, and relevance, any content that cannot be confirmed as current will be removed after three unsuccessful attempts to contact the content provider.

3.3. EMGuidance may unpublish any guideline/content immediately if found to be outdated, incorrect, or not conforming with the latest practices, pending an update or confirmation from the content provider.

Criteria for Inclusion of Content
4.1. Guidelines/content submitted for inclusion must meet the following criteria:

a) The clinical practice guideline should contain systematically developed statements, focusing on medicine and treatment guidelines, intended to optimise patient care and assist healthcare practitioners in making appropriate healthcare decisions.

b) The guideline must be produced under the auspices of a medical speciality association, relevant professional society, public or private organisation, government agency, or health care organisation.

4.2. Guidelines/ Patient education should be submitted via email to the clinical mailbox. The submitted guideline / patient education will be reviewed by the EMGuidance clinical management team for compliance with inclusion criteria and relevancy.

4.3 Once content has been approved for inclusion, a written letter of permission from the author or main custodian of the guideline/content needs to be submitted to EMGuidance. This letter should be on an official letterhead and signed by the relevant party.

Feedback and Queries
5.1. In the event of user queries or requests for clarification on guideline/patient education content, the EMGuidance team will communicate these to the respective content provider. The provider's role is to supply clear, timely responses. In certain circumstances, it may be necessary to direct the user to communicate directly with the content provider.

5.2. All concerns, suggestions, or complaints about this policy or the content on the EMGuidance platform should be forwarded to our dedicated clinical email at clinical@emguidance.com.

Policy Non-Compliance
6.1. In cases of non-compliance with this policy, particularly in relation to ensuring up-to-date content and responsiveness to user queries, guidelines/content may be removed at the discretion of the EMGuidance clinical and executive management teams.

Final Clause
7.1. The terms of this policy are subject to change at the discretion of the EMGuidance management. Any changes will be communicated in a timely manner to all content providers.

This policy reinforces the commitment of EMGuidance to maintain the integrity of our platform and trust of our users. We appreciate our content providers' contributions and adherence to this policy, helping ensure the safety, quality, and relevance of all content on the EMGuidance platform.
